I got promoted to a manager a while ago and I've lurked for a long time on here occasionally posting/commenting. Seeing all the shit other managers have done to their employees taught me a lot of what to do/not do. My boss does not like my management style, but has let a lot of shit go because my team is genuinely happier (prob not the right word since everyone would rather be at home), significantly less burnout, less call outs, etc. My guys feel safe talking with me and letting me know what's going on in their lives and I have a really good working relationship with everyone.
So again, thank you for helping me be the best leader I can be.
