I guess it’s a win. I’m getting -200 less than I “should” have . But I’m getting it at least. This is an update to a post I made back in FEBUARY, regarding an asshole who said he wasnt/ didn’t have to pay me because I quit. Idk how well I went about this, I reported it to the NC DOL and let them do whatever they do. Gave them all the information I had. In July I got a call saying they’d determined I was owed 960, but AHOLE already was going to appeal. I called back last week and they didn’t know shit. Called back again this week and finally was told the case was closed and they received a check for $874. A-hole didn’t even put my name on the check, and I bet he did it on purpose . So now DOL has to send it back, and wait for a check with my name on it, and then send it to me. Basically half a year to get less than what I was owed. Half of year of struggling to stay on my feet and under a roof. Bills piled so hard I couldn’t get out from under them. Still haven’t. It really fucked me up. Workers have basically no rights in my state and it really sucks. I know in some states you’re owed more money by having to wait but this isn’t the case here. I’d reached out to a few lawyers and they all told me to just go to small claims.
But oh well. I’m getting something. A -hole got fined too so he still lost money. Labor laws, bro. Don’t fuck with me. I’ll call this a W.
