Hey all, I'm a contractor at a big tech company in CA. I've been working in tech for 5.5 years.
My last role was 42/hr, which I had to leave for emergency reasons, and I left in good standing. I'm ready to come back and the role they have open is fucking 28/hr for the exact same thing that I have five years of experience in. They insist that it's set by the parent company, not the contract company, and it's non negotiable.
What is this shit? Is this normal/legal?
