My job was a WFH job, I intended to WFH while away for the 2 non bank days to visit my sick family however I didn't have internet access sadly for one of those days so I e-mailed the day before stating that I would be unable to work the next day as I would have no internet tomorrow, received a call today that because I was marked down as missing on the 28th it was grounds for contract termination, which sucks because again I was visiting family who was sick.
I've never once used a sick day/holiday once and I've worked my ass off for the company, it's just frustrating how little these companies give a fuck about their employees that they just terminate my contract like that so easily
