Not really 'Antiwork' but I recently interviewed at a company where I had a good experience, plus I needed to get out of my current company because of many issues. Anyways, so in this interview, it seems I made a mistake by saying I want $5K/month as salary. The recruiter agreed without hesitation and carried forward. She was really cool, taken back person. I enjoyed the conversation. But it seems I made a mistake asking that amount. I should have asked more like $6.5k/month.
I know I cannot take it back. Probably a lesson learnt. But any advice from anyone of you how I would handle it now or just go with it and then ask in about 2 years with a 40% hike? I sure they will give that much in a year or 2 years because they are very successful!!
Note: I live in a country where that salary is pretty much a luxury, but given the skills I have, I should have made justice to it.
