Make me work on Christmas?

A long time ago, I worked at Blockbuster Video, and for those that don’t know – it was open 356 days a year from 10am – midnight. One year I had to work Christmas morning, and there were people waiting in the parking lot before it even opened. I was cranky about having to work so I had no filter with customers. As I was opening the doors at 10, people lined up to come in. Woman: I’m surprised you’re open on Christmas. Me: Yeah, I guess people have to come get movies so they don’t have to talk to their family. Woman: (surprised) Well, we’re here because we got a game machine for our kids and want to rent games for them. Me: So instead of just ignoring them for 2 hours, you give them games so you can ignore them all day? She was wide-eyes and walked away…

She was wide-eyes and walked away quickly. I’m honestly surprised she didn’t report me.
