I work at a lab, I'm a scientist, i have a PhD.
My boss is one of the founders of the company, he has no higher education.
He hired me as project manager, he never listens to me, and is “managing” the pronjects himself, I'm doing R&D because that's what my predecessor did (was doing R&D and project manager in name only). I keep telling him his timelines are obseen, the equipment is under serviced, we have to have a generator (apparently people here have been telling him that for the last 4 years) yesterday, there were three short black outs during the day (i lost two days of work, some people lose more or less). He comes in today (obviously he wasn't in most of yesterday during the blackouts) and i told him that i just lost two days of work. He got mad and said the he checked and we never get stuff ready by his deadlines (which is true, no one can do a three day process in two days) ,and he sent me to work on a presentation for funding, because i actually know what we're doing. But this is another day of work that's not happening, which he will be angry again why I'm not ready for his deadlines.
Just ranting about people who don't understand how stuff works.
