I started working from home Friday. Had a few little hiccups with them not suppling everything I needed to work from home but I did just fine.
Today my manager asked me to do a quick meeting with her. As soon as I got on the meeting she started just going off and berating me. “LOOK AT MY SCREEN! YOU SEE THIS 4 MINUTES BETWEEN THIS MEDICAL RECORD AND THIS MEDICAL RECORD”
I told her yes and that I went to the bathroom quickly. She did pointed out another 4 minute break about an hour later. I then repeated that I was in the bathroom. My manager knows I'm pregnant. The first thing she told me after I told her was “Well, do you plan to work here much longer? We might need to look for a replacement”
I asked her why did it matter if I used the bathroom for 4 minutes when at the office it takes 5 minutes to get to the restroom. She told me it was no excuse. I needed to use the bathroom on my breaks. She assigned me a new break schedule which meant my lunch break was 3 hours after my first break. She expects me to sit there for over 3 hours without getting up. I asked her does she hold it in and she told me this wasn't about her.
I kept apologizing for my bladder and promised her I wouldn't eat or drink much to prevent me from using the restroom. She told me she wants me back in the office so that my bathroom breaks can be monitored. I will be the only one in the office. She kept reminding me multiple times that she can replace me for someone who can get the job done. That I'm simply someone she can just tell the staffing agency to get rid of.
The job is literally just data entry. She kept blaming me if she gets in trouble at a management meeting about productivity.
I'm thinking about resigning at this point. She keeps bitching that she can't keep anyone long enough. I feel like its a her issue. I'm also reporting her and the company to the staffing agency. Why waste a recruiters time finding you an employee when you just chase them away after a month.
My other coworker was already threaten to get replaced because she needed surgery on her ovaries due to cyst. She canceled her surgery so she can keep her job.
I feel terrible in some way for wanting to leave immediately, but I'm not quitting the job, I'm firing the manager. If all that job is going to see me as is a number pusher and not someone who is pregnant and has needs like using the bathroom, then I need to move on. Besides, why should an employee need to supply a doctors note to get permission to use the bathroom.
