As the title says. My role is 100% remote and we have team members in EST and CST. My manager is located in EST, so in the same time zone as the majority of the team. She regularly schedules meetings at 12pm EST, citing her “busy schedule”.
My team has a training scheduled for 11am today so she was unable to have her regularly scheduled meeting at that time. She said “how about 12?” To which I told her no, that is lunch time. She then said “ok, 12:30 then”.
This happens all the time. She schedules “mandatory” meetings at 12pm the same day.
She has zero respect for any of our time and expects us to just forego out lunch for her meeting.
Is this an unreasonable expectation on her part? And if so, how should I handle this?
Note: I usually go to the gym or run during my lunch break, so I should be able to be away from my computer for an hour.
