Negotiated a higher salary with my manager last year, and now a year later manager is asking how I came up with that number, that it doesn't make sense, wanted me to show the audit trail and made me do a bunch of extra work to prove that my role was worth it. I started looking for a new job and base salary is $40k higher, and equity is $130k higher. Loving the new job!
