Massage Therapist, paid per massage

I'll try to be brief, but I needed to vent. 10years MT experience. Working for chiropractor, and I am PAID PER CLIENT I see. I also work at one of the chain spas on days not working at the chiropractor. I'm am popular, always booked, and love what I do. Started working for chiro 2.5 months ago. I was told washer and dryer would be on site for laundry when I was hired, as of today since none in sight. I have been doing all the laundry service myself at my own experience. Started working for chiro 2.5 months ago. I was told washer and dryer would be on site for laundry when I was hired, as of today since none in sight. I have been doing all the laundry service myself at my own experience.

I was told last week a mandatory dinner meeting is required by all office staff, which happens to land on a day chiro is closed (convenient for them) and I'm working at the chain spa. Ok, so I removed my 2 clients at the spa, which means I forfeit $100 to have the time to go to the “mandatory dinner”.

Today I'm told I'm supposed to attend another “mandatory meeting” at noon when my shift starts at 3pm. I'm pissed. I asked if I will be reimbursed for the time today, even though I will not be physically massaging. Surprise surprise, I was told to never mind.

Am I in the wrong here? Should I be ok with employers taking advantage left and right here?
