Maybe think twice

In the fall of 1941, my Uncle John, who lived in Spartanburg, SC, went to his boss and said: “My brother is getting married up there in Raleigh next month and I need a week off.” His boss said that they were just too busy and he couldn’t do it. Uncle John replied: “I didn’t explain that right, my brother is getting married up there in Raleigh next month and I am going to be at the wedding, shall I return?” (He retired from the job 25 years later)
