So in a few hours I have a meeting scheduled with my hr group to speak about paying back a portion of some funds that were given to me to pay for my trip abroad whilst working for the company.
I was sent out of state (along with several other groups) to help open a new location, and given funds to help cover whatever costs may arise out there, along with my paycheck.
Fast forward a few days and I suddenly have to leave my post for a family surprise event (brothers wedding).
Spoke with every supervisor I had available and there were no issues so I speak to company booking agent and he gets me a flight home for two day's down the road so i can still come in and work before i need to leave, no issues at all. 3 hours later a different supervisor, who I hadn't interacted with all week calls me and demands to know why I'm leaving.
We speak and she informs me that I'll be leaving the following day, not able to come in to pick up work till my next scheduled work day in my home state, and that I'll be paying back a portion of the money that was given.
Now, like I stated previously I spoke with every supervisor I worked with and none of mine had an issue and all had okayed me leaving on a different later date.
Regardless packed up my stuff, left day's earlier then expected and returned home.
Upon my return though, the supervisor who sent me home early from out of state never told anyone she did that, so I was a no-call for the new location.
Which resulted in me still not knowing if I've been written up for that.
On top of all that I never signed any contract/ there was no discussion had about re-payment of funds for this trip.
But because of my earlier return date (that they chose) I have to pay them back $400+ to a billion dollar company.
… thanks for listening.
