But am I required by (SC or Federal) law to take a break at work if over 6/8 hours per shift? It's something I understand the importance of requiring but I really hate to do it. Normally I just work through my breaks but my manager is getting on my ass about it because that's considered stealing company hours even though I have less than 0 intentions for reporting it to HR.
