Backstory:
I make 40% less than the market for my job, as I took this gig and figured I’d work hard then ask for a raise.
Monday:
Our “leader” had joined our team meeting this week to tell us about “financial hardships” at the university where I work.
She makes ~$150k prior to her part she was talking in the meeting about how her job this week is to take some leaders to some performing arts festival in town.
Fast forward to the part where she speaks about the financial hardship. She tells us the place I work has made a financial decision to stop contributing to 403bs next year, will halt cost of living increases, raises & they aren’t hiring for a number of positions.
Considering there really isn’t a future here I’ve decided to bring an amazing insight to the office.
