I work for a company that advertises that the contract includes FREE housing year round. We take a significantly lower hourly than the same position somewhere else in exchange. I’ve been with them for several years now and they have been true to their word. Until this year. Suddenly we are being “taxed” $200 w month and charged a $20 a month cleaning fee… when we are directly responsible for cleaning our own living space… is this legal? When they say specifically free housing in all their contract descriptions?
