‘Most employee-centric tech company’ has just had loads of its team wake up to lay-offs

A two minute loom and the notion that 'if you get an email in the next 30 minutes you've been affected'. My partner is a director, his entire team has been laid off, though it's unclear whether he's going with them as he's received a notification to have a meeting with his higher ups later in the day but no email. He was not informed of his team being let go. Other people that are his friends in the company have been let go with no warning. So yeah, don't get a job at Oyster – as one employee said it so perfectly; they're building the plane whilst flying it. That always works out well, right?
