Long story short I went to my boss to have a discussion on what ways I can improve and get more training. I initiated this conversation,it was not a result of me doing poorly. Eventually he says to me that he feels I “don’t give a fuck about my job”. I counter that with “what can I do so that you know I give a fuck”, to which he says he isn’t sure,and will get back to me.
I am one of 2 employees (on a team of 12) that show up every single day,never late,and eager to learn and get better at my profession (I work in a trade). It’s absolutely mind blowing to me that I was told I don’t care. As a result of this conversation,I went and lined up another job,and today I walked into work truly not giving a fuck. In my eyes, if he thinks I don’t care, I will show him what not caring looks like.
