I work as a sales guy for a company that is a distributor for industrial equipment. At the start of 2023, they announced record profits, revenue, and growth in 2022. “Hooray! Way to go! This company is like a family! Go team!” :p
Last week they sent out a company wide email announcing that they are cutting commission percentages to “keep up with increasing pricing from manufacturers.”
So….prices go up. To combat the increased pricing (that we ultimately pass along to our customers) they are cutting our pay.
I’ll admit that I was an average math student, but I’m pretty sure that I’m getting screwed in this deal.
