My employer fired me for no reason, and I just came home to a “notice to vacate”.

Like I said in the title, my boss fired me for no reason back in January. There was nothing that ever indicated that I was doing something wrong. No write ups, not even a conversation or a simple “hey I noticed this”. Came back from my lunch break to be told that I was being fired effective immediately. I finally got a job. Started this past Monday. I’ve been so broke I’ve been relying on friends to send me bits of money so I can afford ramen. I haven’t been able to pay my rent this month, and my landlord texted me this morning to ask after the rent. I explained my situation to them, and promised I’d pay as soon as I got paid.

I come home from work today to have a “notice to vacate” stuck in my door. I have twenty four hours before they start the eviction process.

I’m sick to my stomach and close to tears. I’m terrified of telling my parents, or begging them to help. I don’t know what to do, even if my friends are trying to help me with options of people and places to call.

Fuck you, Jennifer. Fuck you and this capitalistic hell scape that goes straight to eviction after less than a week.
