So long story short I used to work for this local coffee shop were I live. There were a lot of red flags to begin with, like being asked to not cash checks right away, or if you made more than $100 a check there was a chance it would bounce. I ignored these red flag because I just need the extra income.
I ending up quitting a couple weeks because I couldn’t ignore the issues anymore. Now it’s tax season and I still haven’t received my W-2. I’ve reached out to them about it and they’re blaming “Square”, which is who they do all there back office stuff through. Saying that Square sent out paper W-2, and that they are working very hard to get to the bottom of the issue.
My last straw was when I reached out yesterday and was told they are still trying to get my W-2 amended, which doesn’t make sense, I never received a W-2 to begin with. They offered to put a request in so i can receive my pay stubs so i can file that way. I accepted but still haven’t heard back on how long that will be.
I feel like i’m being given the ring around on this whole ordeal. I need advise.
