My job is trying to force make up time saying it’ll stop overtime.

Of course I don't believe them at all, but they're trying to say that if you miss a day or even some hours you have to pick time to make that up, including our days off. They say doing this prevents them from having to force overtime. Sounds to me like they want to force more time regardless. I find this extremely dubious and possibly illegal. However they've sited a section of employee handbook that talks about hours but I can tell you from reading it doesn't talk about make up time or overtime. Forgive not having all the wording but the first sentence is a general hours determined by demand if business which again is just so much of a general statement I don't see how it stands up. I'm not sure who to go to for this though as I work remotely and the company and I are in different states and this company supports different programs and will pretty much bend over backwards to keep their clients.

Its Senture as the company doing this and Signify Health is the client that they work for that I happen to be “on” for.
