I currently work retail for a big corporation and I’ve been out sick a lot, I’ve mostly always been able to get my shift covered but I’ve offered my managers my doctors notes to show i’m sick. I recently went to the emergency room over a sickness and have an infection that will keep me out of work for at least a week. My manager told me this will most likely result in “corrective action” even tho I offered her my doctors note stating I cannot work for a minimum of 7 days. They said it’s “against company policy” to take doctors notes, is that even a thing??
