Would you terminate an employee for playing their PS5 on the clock, through the company network?

The company had two employees bring in a ps5 to hook into the network for some late night gaming when it was slow over the holiday- this sent up a big red flag at corporate IT who thought the server was being hacked (they got hacked in 2022 and lost control of the server for several days). Corporate got involved, two employees lost their jobs. Was this justified? Discuss.
