This morning I was told my contract won't be renewed due to budget cuts, Monday is my last day. My manager actually started crying as she was telling me the news. She went on to tell me that she's fought to keep me on the team FOR WEEKS, meaning there's been plenty of time for a heads up. Earlier this month she was telling my coworkers that IF someone was to be let go, they would get plenty of notice so they could get a new job lined up. She gave me 4 days. She knows i live paycheck to paycheck.
I've actually considered my manager a friend since she started in September, she always seemed to care about me and my coworkers. Today, she showed me that's not the case at all.
Fuck the managers.
