This manager is over the entire facility, and everyone liked him, save for one employee. The rumor going around is that he was fired for “misappropriation of funds”.
How did he misappropriate? He was paying an employee who was out on medical the minimum needed to cover their insurance payments until they could return to work. He has supposedly done this with other employees before as well.
So, basically the big, bad thing that he did was take care of his employee and make sure they could actually recover while on medical leave and they could keep their medical insurance while not working.
Company didn't like it so they fired him. I know of at least 5 employees that have already quit since he was fired.
