So I just started working at a 7/11 affiliate, and have been working for no more than a month. I’ll admit I’m slow at the job, I just physically don’t think I can make so many ice bags in under 15 minutes, so I tend to have to push my other chores to accommodate how slow I am. Which means I’m clocking out 20-45 minutes after my scheduled shift. Recently I saw an alert that told me changes were made to my time card, when I asked the assistant manager what the changes were he said it was just correcting the extra time I stayed for several days out of the week. Him not being the manager I thought it’d be best to take a look at the time card, Ive been clocking in and out on my phone on a separate app in case I’d be subject to wage theft, is this legal? Or should I care? I don’t want to make it a big thing if I’m in the wrong, since I am slow. If I do have to report it to someone who do I report it to? And also they haven’t given me my time card after I’ve asked repeatedly.
