my partners job just took 3 hours of overtime that was already worked off of their paycheck.

my partner works at a daycare, and employees were called for a meeting today due to too much overtime. people cutting breaks short, not taking one etc. their boss pressured them into signing a form stating they are going to take 3 hours of overtime off of their time sheet that was ALREADY WORKED. not like my partner lied or anything, they WORKED THE TIME and their job is saying “oh no that’s too much” and is now taking the time away. is this even fucking legal?
