This is a brief description of my job.
I only work remotely. My employer is an asshole. We communicate over chat and he is the most vile employer I have ever worked for and surprisingly enough, he's the one who pays the lowest.
When I make something, he rarely says any good things to anyone from our team (except for the one who makes him the most money). He fucking makes sure he humiliates people when we're on a team meeting.
Also, yes, I can take criticism. But this man would answer with sarcasm in chat, fucking condescending tones and just words that would make you lose all motivation to work.
And oh, I get paid less that $2/hour.
And it sucks because I know we're only treated this way because he knows we're desperate for the job we have.
I am thinking about quitting after getting paid. But this is the only job I got after 9 months of job searching. I feel like I'll fuck myself over it. I am a breadwinner and I just have to keep telling myself I'm doing this for my family.
Any tips on how I can keep my cool when working for asshole employers?
