Stood up to my bosses illegal practices.

About a month ago I was missing 7 hours OT on a paycheck. I work in a kitchen and we've had some complications so I figured maybe there was just a mistake, sent my boss a message and he said he would look into it. He finally just yesterday came to me, in the walk-in so no one else heard, that he looked into it and that my OT would not be paid because it was rolled into the next week and that he doesn't pay OT unless you reach 80+ for two weeks.

I initially just agreed to avoid the argument, also to get out of the walk-in. I asked him in front of everyone to please explain why my OT wouldn't be paid, and he got pissed off having to explain to everyone, I then pulled up the IL overtime laws and showed him. Not only did he owe me 7 hours, several of my coworkers had 10-20 hours they were owed.

He tried to blame the accounting office and everyone will be getting their owed hours next paycheck.
