My spouses manager said they are required to be picking up shifts she’s not scheduled for.. they’re not On Call, just a key holder for closing/openings.

They(my spouse) only make $1/hour above minimum wage and was just scheduled to work over 8 consecutive days in a row, several over 6 hours. They opened today and was asked to extend to a close (for a over 10 hour shift) since someone called out and refused. The manager then sent this to a group chat effectively calling my spouse out.
