I’ve worked for this guy for 24 years. He’s crazy every day. I’ve learned to deal with that for the most part. Some days, especially when he has to wake up early like today, he comes in hopped up on goofballs (adderall, coke, who knows?) causing unnecessary chaos.
Today leaving the situation seemed like the best idea. It was really bad. When I tried to leave he blocked my car with his. Only one way out. He refused to move unless I signed a resignation letter or went back to work. I called the cops because he was not allowing me to leave.
The cops came. He moved before the cops came. They seemed sympathetic, but said their was no crime committed. Maybe a civil action was possible. They asked me if I wanted them to talk to him. I said yes. Left it at that.
