Hi everyone! I'm still in my early career and I was quite naive about work so I signed up to work for free in exchange for some experiences. Lately, I have been given more tasks to do than what was agreed upon in our contract, and as a result, I have been spending more time working for them than I initially anticipated. While I was eager to work and learn from the company at the beginning of the internship, I have recently come to the realization that I am not receiving the mentorship that I was hoping for. Instead, I feel like I am being taken advantage of and used for my labor without compensation.
I hope to kindly hear your thoughts and advice on the situation about what I should do? I'm hoping to keep the job for a month but stick to our agreement about my work hours and not taking on too much responsibilities, is there a way for me to express this without burning bridges? Thank you so much for your advices.
