I'm really thankful for this sub. It's really opened my eyes to how the system is inherently exploitative. Workers have almost no rights unless they raise a stink about it. And the risk is all on the worker to do so. We all need to level the playing field, one person at a time.
I'm taking the advice of looking for jobs when I don't need one. I'm in a comfortable position now doing skilled, white collar office work in a pretty relaxed setting, but I'm shopping for a new job to at least get a feel for things. This particular job has several rounds of interviews, I've pretty much passed the first round, and the HR person said that I'll also be required to take a “PXT assessment”, which they said is supposed to identify competencies and help me grow (coughbullshitcough). Has anyone taken one of these before, either a “PXT” one or something similar? What are the questions like? Are there generally liked answers? How much does HR rely on these tests? Any other pointers? It feels to me like bullshit discrimination against neurodivergent people. So fuck these tests. Maybe I'll try to ace it and then ghost them. Thanks a lot in advance.
p.s. I don't really need this job, just shopping around. But I've never been required to take one of these tests before.
