I am leaving a company and I am negotiating a severance package that includes not paying back accidentally paid wages and a handful of weeks of severance. The CEO I don’t think has ever been spoken to this way especially by a woman. He is losing his ducking marbles. But I am trying to be as professional and an advocate for myself as possible. At one point in a conversation he chuckled at me. But I’m coming back from maternity leave and there’s not much he can do in the ways of firing me so he kind of has to play ball. And he absolutely is livid about it.
