So I started a new job Monday. Monday was a day full of unnecessary training that didn’t help us at all. Tuesday was maybe two hours of training that would help us. Then yesterday, my boss expected us to just start calling and making sales. The kicker to the whole situation is he called me around 5:30PM EST & asked why I hadn’t made any calls yet. My response was “Well you haven’t trained us. It’s been two pretty useless days, and you just expect us to call people and follow a script. Throwing people to the wolves isn’t how you become successful”. He replied with “Well what do you think you need then?”, and I said I needed at least another day to read over everything and maybe listen to successful calls as I learn easier by seeing and hearing the task than just being tossed into it. He then said “Yeah I hear ya. That’s completely understandable. Tomorrow we’ll do a call at 9AM for a half hour, and I’ll get you involved on that then I’ll need you to get on the phone and make calls”…. I just sat there flabbergasted tbh lol I quit at 8:55 this morning. So they can have fun finding someone else to pretend to that what they need matters.
