Just started a handyman position through a hardware store, they post jobs on an app with certain time frames for the jobs to be completed usually two a day or one big job, I’m getting paid 22 an hour which is decent in my eyes max is 25, I use my own vehicle and tools, they give 30 extra dollars a week to help with wear and tear/ Gas and phone usage, I get a discount through the store and allowance for new tools, I also get 10 dollars for every 5 star review I get which is cool, it’s family owned and they are super nice, the problem is they throw jobs at you last minute or don’t give you enough description on what needs to be done..usually just a couple pictures then it turns out to be more then what the pictures show and takes longer then makes it more expensive for the customer, which they are already being charged 110$ an hour plus 1.7% material mark up then charged in 15 min increments after the allotted time if I’m not done..which makes me feel rushed, I’m used to contracting jobs myself at a fair price and getting done at my own pace so I guess I’m just venting/ looking for advice if it’s even worth it to continue
