So I got this new job (3rd day in) and they refuse to call me by my first name because there was someone who used to work there who died with the same name. Is this even professional?
I’m not sure how long it’s been since the person passed but this situation is so weird and uncomfortable.
They say they’re still mourning but why should it be my fault? It makes me feel so uncomfortable when someone introduces themselves to me and they ask me, “They told you about your name right?” Like wtf. They want to use my last name on my name tag instead of my first name.
