I've been on this subreddit for a bit but never really had anything to post, I'm just looking for some personal help.
Just for background I'm 16 years old & work at a car wash, I was working 4-6 days a week from 4pm-11pm. I'm trying to save up as much money for gas so I can get to school since there isn't any bus stops close to me. My job is okay & has it's ups & downs, the usual.
About 3 weeks ago our store gained new upper management & ever since then I've lost all my hours. When I went in for work this guy named Harrison introduced himself & took me into the office to explain all the new stuff. He told me that he was looking for motivated & passionate employees that wanted to be here, I told him I was what he was looking for. I wasn't really worried at the time since I knew I did my part & got my job done efficiently.
Shortly after he had me sign a few OSHA related documents & asked me for my availability which I said was everyday & any time. After all that he left & I continued my shift like normal. Next week I check the schedule to see I was only working one day. I was like whatever he's probably sorting things out. Now this week rolls around & I learn I'm also working for only 1 day, so for the past 2 weeks I've only worked 2 days.
I don't know what to do, all my coworkers that I talk to are complaining about losing all their hours as well. On the schedule it's the same 7-8 employees working 5-6 days a week.
