No breaks?

For reference I work at a desk job(as a security guard) where we eat our desks. I was told to just eat when nothing's happening same goes for if i need to use the restroom. After 3 years of working with the company I'm currently working for I kinda just realized that we don't get breaks. Is that illegal? Like aren't we required to a proper lunch break at least
