“Nobody wants to work” my ass

I didn’t really know what sub I should post this on but I feel this sub would be appropriate since it does focus on the pure dumbassery of how so many businesses in America operate. I used to work at a community involved non-profit so I would end up attending a lot of city council meetings. These meetings were more focused on how to improve social services and how to allocate more funds to those services for the city. Of course, all of these people were upper-middle class, the richest people of the town. I’ve heard the phrase “Nobody wants to work anymore” so many times which is bullshit because now I am practically unemployed (workplace management collapsed) and cannot find another place that will accept me. I understand that I am very inexperienced and young, my last job was my first job, but I can not afford to go…

I understand that I am very inexperienced and young, my last job was my first job, but I can not afford to go to college to obtain the skills for a professional job.

However, what I have noticed on the local facebook group is that this is happening to a considerable few other people in town, some older and more experienced than me. Many places, primarily corporate, will advertise they are hiring but still never end up actually hiring people.

I’m pretty hopeless at the moment because I just got another rejection notice and maybe this is just my way of coping with rejection but at this point I’m just hopeless. I always felt that there will always be places looking for workers but at this point I just feel like giving up. I don’t really know what to do, whether I should see about moving elsewhere for employment or if working online is possible. And even if I did end up finding employment, would even be worth working with these people?
