I was hired early March as a behavioral technician under a company in Connecticut. First job I have taken since I earned my bachelor degree (January) and they started me at 18 an hour. I should have argued that, but it was more than I made as a med tech at the time.
Not even three full weeks after I was hired I get an email from Indeed about a job that matches my qualifications.
It is the exact job I have, in the exact town I work in, all the same- BUT starting at 21 an hour.
Okay, that is a punch in the gut but I thought at least I can apply to the job internally. I emailed the human resources department, and sent a message to both my supervisors stating I applied for the job post and would love the opportunity. I added a screenshot of the posting that shows the starting pay was three more an hour than what I was hired at.
No one has responded to me, it has been a full day. While they did not respond, someone conveniently deleted the job posting and changed the hour wage to starting at 18.
I am a grown woman who paid to go to school, I reach out professionally about feeling disheartened and I am ignored.
Can we just riot please I do not know what else to do.
