Hey y’all. First time poster on this sub and I just really need to rant. Please delete if it’s off topic.
BRO I was supposed to get a raise at the beginning of the month and the date has been pushed back to September. (In September I will have been with the company for a year.)
I haven’t gotten a single raise since I’ve started and the higher ups have been talking about raises for like two months. I think it’s because I’m in retail at the moment and our company has been in the red the past few months. I know this because I’m one of the assistant managers and I can see all the sales for every store in the company.
They hired a new staff at the other location in town and their entire staff is making more comparatively than my team. From associates all the way up to their GM. Because it’s “the only way to be able to hire people”. Bruh what about KEEPING experienced staff??? Seriously thinking about putting in my two weeks. At least my paycheck came today… even though it was three days late.
I hate capitalism so fucking much. I wake up and bust my ass for someone else, who will probably make more money than I’ll ever see in my lifetime, and anytime we ask for a dollar or two they spit in our faces and tell us to kick rocks. I’m so fucking done. Rant over.
