Not scheduled for a week, then scheduled against my availability

To start I’m located in DE I’ve been working this job for 8 months now and I also worked there for a year in 2019. During July I lost 3 family members, 2 due to a fire. With this happening my babysitter (family member) is unable to watch my daughter during the day. I told my department manager I would need to work afternoon shifts only and anytime on weekends due to my dad’s work schedule. Last week I was not scheduled at all and told by the store manager it was because I called out (one funeral and one no sitter). I’ve been working this job for 8 months now and I also worked there for a year in 2019. I repeated to him that my availability changed, department boss knew, and that I had lost 3 people in my life in the span of 2 weeks. He told me I would be added to the schedule for that week but never was.

I was scheduled this upcoming week with no regards to what I had told them. Previously I worked 2-3 afternoon shifts a week with no problem. This week I was scheduled this upcoming Sunday which is fine, then 2 weekday day shifts and next Saturday, which I had told them was the start of my vacation a month ago. I applied for unemployment a few days ago but I’m unsure if I’ll get it with being scheduled this week. Should I go in Sunday? I have no write ups and no documented issues with the company. I don’t want to fuck myself over by going to work and losing the chance at unemployment but I’m worried if I don’t show up I’ll be written up and fired and also not get it.

Not that it matters to this situation, but earlier in the year I applied to be department manager because we lost ours. I was given the spot, trained for a week, then acted as manager for a few weeks. Never increased my pay. Then they interviewed someone new and gave them the spot and I was not told until after. I had been doing overtime, early days, missed important things because of this and I’m still angry. I just haven’t been able to afford to quit. Since then I still show up but I do the bare minimum. I’m just angry. Thanks for any advice y’all can give
