I was referred for a position at work and told I would be a good fit. I stated my concerns and my reasons for maybe holding off until later but management said to do the interview.
Day of the interview I was called in early and working so I asked again to postpone the interview as I had too much to do. Told no.
I do the interview and it’s not great at all. I’m not surprised I didn’t get the position. I honestly had too much work and just wanted to finish before the end of the day.
I found out that employees get a huge cash bonus for referrals and I feel used and spat out. I was never going to get the position. My manager just wanted the bonus. Now I’m being ghosted at work asking for feedback and my long term career goals. I wish I had been adamant because managers already get a raise and executives already have a timeshare and bonus while employees don’t even get benefits.
