So I get it because I’m actually a fast food worker myself. Life is full of ups and downs, people are tired, upset, unappreciated, sad and those are all valid reasons for one to be a certain type of way.
But sometimes when I find myself in the possibility of ordering food from a fast food place and the workers there look like they wanna kill me, despite me being polite and nice to them, it drives me nuts.
Even on my worst day I may not be all smiles and giggles but I never take it out on the customer who did nothing wrong to me. I would understand someone looking a certain type of way if I showed up minutes before closing and taking my sweet ass time ordering etc, but sometimes they act like they hate themselves and everyone else included when it’s totally uncalled for.
Maybe you hate you job, maybe you don’t think you’re paid enough, I get all that, but what did I do? Why is your anger directed towards me and not where it should be? Like maybe your bosses? I’m just trying to get some food from a restaurant without feeling like a parasite, like I’m forcing you to do what you’re paid to do. If I stopped shopping from you your job wouldn’t even exist.
I get that it’s not perfect but can you at least stop making the customers feel bad for just using your facilities for their intended purpose?
That’s my rant, I know some people will say I should have a thicker skin and suck it up, but honestly fuck you, how about people direct their disapproval and anger where it needs to be instead?
