Clarity- This was removed yesterday for “Low Effort” even after one user commented on the highest actual effort this sub has seen in some time. If truly believe in something, why would you let tomorrow be the same as yesterday? If you filter by anything you'll see severely less effort. Stand up please.
Simply put, we should try protesting in tax brackets. 4/20 is a great day, 69k use to sound like a lot of money…. I also realize that under 69k likely isn't 1 tax bracket. Let's get that out the way before we get a bunch of pedantic reddit needs in here r/dointhemath. Someone commented yesterday

Answer- because the average income in West Virginia is $26k. That means HALF of all income made is made by less than $26k. The guy making 69k can't live like a king when there are no peasants to serve him
Depending on where you live you can live comfortably on $69k…. that's not the point obviously. 420/69 gets the people pumped. So take something that's already a thing and it'll be easier to spread.
But seriously, why do you think fast food workers were considered “essential” during the pandemic? Because they are essential to the economy? Or… essentially….. they had to work or they'd die? Wtf is that life? If the answer is both…. then well, maybe The Essentials should be Marvel's new movie.
