This is kind of a vent/looking for advice. I recently made the switch from low-level healthcare to a corporate job a month ago. They advertised it as an administrative assistant position but when I was actually hired they revealed it was not an assistant position but actually I would be in charge of reviewing large amounts of intricate legal paperwork. They fired the person who trained me 3 weeks into my position because they were totally inept at their job. They sucked at training and that leaves me partially trained and thrown to the wolves. Now the new management has dragged me into a performance review meeting and is telling me my work is subpar and I have until the end of next month to turn it around. Until this point, they had been encouraging me to come to them with questions and telling me I was headed in the right direction, and even acknowledged the fact that my training was awful. Now I'm just feeling confused and kind of pissed at the whole situation. The branch manager is saying I am asking the same question too many times and instead of looking at this like I'm making an effort to understand a job I was thrown into and given job duties I didn't agree to they're threatening to fire me. I don't even know what to do at this point.
