One Week Notice – told I was unprofessional

Gave a one week notice to a company I had worked for for three months because I am relocating my family for my husbands job. I worked 15-20 hours a week and was contracted at a pretty low wage doing no brainer work. The response from the manager was that I was “unprofessional” and that if I knew I was moving they would’ve liked a heads up and that I had left them hanging. It was all a very negative experience and in my opinion unnecessary commentary from my manager as I’m moving; and the job requires very little skill and provided very little pay. That being said ironically the company ALSO just last week laid off an employee who had been there for four years and gave her one week notice. I mentioned this as she was berating me but It didn’t fit her discourse. My biggest question is what is the line between sharing personal information such as a potential family move and being honest with a company about leaving. My manager seemed shocked I didn’t share with her that my family was considering a move until I gave my notice. I didn’t give my notice until my new lease was signed and the move was imminent.
