I’ve applied for a lot of jobs.
I started a job as a line lead with a big company with great benefits. Two weeks later a smaller yet more well known company offers me to be a project manager for the same pay… and the benefits aren’t as good.
I would get to learn more as a project manager and I wouldn’t travel overnight as much… but the line lead job pays extra for travel and insurance is better/ cheaper. The people seem nice at my current job (line lead) and manger is flexible.
Is it worth it to switch jobs after only two weeks to work for a more respected company? If I took this job I would have to travel 50 min one way to pick up a company car (unpaid time) for travel instead of getting a rental nearby my house and being paid the minute I leave my door. Travel is about 50% for both jobs.
What would you do? Any advice to help make the decision?
